To configure ARS Digits Dialed:
Select Configure ARS.
Under Type of Calls, select the call type that is associated with each route.
Under Digits Dialed, enter the partial or complete external numbers dialed to access subsequent routing information.
Refer to the ARS Digits Dialed form for further details.
Under Digits to Follow, select the number of digits expected to follow the partial number specified under Digits Dialed.
Refer to the ARS Digits Dialed form for further details.
If you need more definitions, click Add to add rows to the table, and then enter the required digits.
To remove rows from the table, select the rows and click Delete.
Click Next to continue.
The following settings are generated automatically:
In the ARS Digit Dialed form, the Termination Type is Route and the Termination Number is the route number for corresponding call type.
In the ARS Leading Digits form, Second Dial Tone is Yes and the COR is blank.
Digit Modification: Numbers 1-3 with Number of Digits to Absorb set to 1; and Number 4 with Number of Digits to Absorb set to 0.
NOTE: When emergency numbers are assigned, wizard will check for the presence of the Outgoing Prefix. If present, it will assign the 'Local Emergency' call type thus ensuring that the call is flagged as emergency, but absorbing the number of digits required (length of Outgoing Prefix).
